Direct Fire Industrial Air handling units
Canada Blower Co. produces different types of makeup gas units for ventilation air industrial building.
Gas pressurization units carry large quantities of air in the low temperature differential (typically 50 ° or less), is a strategy to minimize temperature stratification in the large spaces that are used for heating. The equipment is typically mounted on the roof of the facility or higher degree holders to ensure that the air supply delivers high. The high air delivery and allows a "pull" the air, which requires less equipment to cover the floor area required. The most common fuel is natural gas, however, units can be converted to burn propane. There are two main categories of AHUs gas: direct and indirect fuel fired.

For buildings tight, it is best to consider the indirect use of equipment for fuel. There are several common configurations of direct-fired units.
The design may vary 80/20 the amount of air out of 100% to 20%. The burner has a high coverage ratio and only outside air should be drawn through the burner. The discharge volume air is fixed and the amount of outside air can be adjusted to maintain the pressurization of the building. The makeup air unit configuration is ideal for supplying large amounts of replacement air for the installation of exhaust systems. These systems can include spray paint booths and other industrial applications of escape. These units supply a fixed amount of 100% outside air. Air units recirculate recirculating a fixed 80% of the air while bringing in 20% outside air passing over the burner. Meet the minimum amount of ventilation to the spaces that do not require large amounts of outside air to maintain building pressurization.
Variabel air volume VAV units have a volume of variable air supply and design work similar to 80/20, however, the recirculated air passes through a bypass section rather than through the installation. This type of unit is used in construction applications pressurization is desired and where pollutants located in the space can not be recirculated.
Facilities that are covered vehicle operation often accumulate carbon monoxide and associated noxious fumes. For these cases, a sequence of ventilation can be instituted to limit this potentially damaging buildup. Pressurisation units for these buildings could be fitted with a carbon monoxide detector with an initial reference point, for example, 50 ppm that would trigger an alarm and activate a relay time delay.
If the condition persists after, say, five minutes, then the return air damper is closed and the gate modulate modulate outside air is 100% open position. A second set point of 100 ppm starts an alarm and, finally, turn off the burner. The buffers then is positioned to allow the exhaust mode. A feature of this type of equipment is especially important in cold climates is their ability to keep the building slightly pressurized to normal at 0.01 inches wc. This reduces the infiltration of cold air, and when opened up doors, cushions modulate outside air is open to admit more air to maintain this level of pressurization. Gas-fired pressurization systems each offer good solutions to the major warming structures such as warehouses, distribution centers, warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Situations requiring significant ventilation for air treatment pressurization as well as facilities that generate dust, fog, and other contaminants. cleaner environment with less intensive needs would be well ventilated to go with the approach of infrared radiant heating. In very cold climates, could be beneficial to go with a hybrid solution that uses radiant heat in the perimeter as the heat source and placement of pressurisation units in the center of the installation of ventilation and pressurization for when the doors are open.
